When you feel alone, always remember that you have me.  My arms are forever open to you – where you need to be.  Don’t feel lost, for I am home.  And with me is where you belong.  I won’t hurt you or bring you down.  I’ll put a happy face in place of your frown.  Look to me for what you need.  I love you so – please come to me.

Sometimes I wake up and I think Today will be a good day.

Then life brings it’s scorn and folly – sending troubles my way.

But as a swan, I let it all slide off my back – today I will choose.

Life is what I make it – and sorrow – you will lose.

The smile on my face – it cannot be take away.

An Explanation

I think of the feeling of your warm skin against mine,
your soft lips,
the way your look at me with your loving yet piercing eyes.

And I know I am in love
Not some fleeting kind of emotion most would associate with the word -
but real love,
the kind that’s been tested and yet only grows with time.

My life before you was only a prologue to the bigger story that I am now part of.
